Volunteers play an important role in helping the San Francisco Bay Estuarine Research Reserve fulfill its mission of improving understanding and stewardship of the San Francisco Bay.

Volunteers opportunities exist though the Rush Ranch Natural History Docent Program and on occasional through our research program.

Education volunteers: The Solano Land Trust oversees a Rush Ranch Natural History Docent Program in partnership with the Reserve. The next new docent training series will be offered in Fall 2013. Contact Sarah Ferner at daviess “at” sfsu.edu for more information.

Research volunteers: We occasionally accept volunteers with research experience to assist with our field monitoring programs. Please contact Matt Ferner at mferner “at” sfsu.edu and include your relevent experience and schedule availability.
